Sofa Construction
Next Upholstery combines traditional production techniques with modern technology to offer you a high quality, durable range.
Frame Construction
Next Sofas are tested to an increased level of BS4875 and BSEN 1022. Using stronger raw materials and fixing. Next has ensured an even longer life for your upholstery.
Springs
High tensile zig-zag springs or elasticated webbing strips are generously positioned across the frame to give comfort and support.
These springs are machine tested for durability and lasting support.
Cushions
All Next sofa foam is tested to BS3379 and exceed all British Standard requirements ensuring comfort and good recovery.
Weight and Structure
Our sofas are tested to remain durable and intact through everyday use. For example, a 95Kg (15 stone) person, repeatedly sitting on the sofa 200,000 times.
Our sofas are designed to withstand impact and remain stable.
Stronger raw materials (wood from managed sources) provide a hardwearing frame.
Increased use of screws and staples provide stronger joints.
Our re-engineered frames with increased rail support provide additional strength to hardwearing areas.
Fabrics and Cleaning
We offer an exclusive range of strong, hardwearing fabrics, tested to exceed British Standards for durability and colour performance, minimising fading from direct sunlight and cleaning.
All of our fabrics, except leather, are treated with stain protector and soil resistant finish. This offers an increased resistance to stains and spills and prolongs the life of the fabric by helping you to remove everyday soiling with the minimum of effort.
All loose covers are removable for washing at home or dry cleaning depending on the fabric.
All our sofa fabrics and fillings meet the furniture and furnishing (fire safety) regulations of 1988.
